Samara Saraiva is a Brazilian-American artist and designer based in Brooklyn. She was born in São Paulo, Brazil and immigrated to the United States with her family when she was nine. Her experience informs Saraiva’s work as a first-generation immigrant and woman of colour. She often uses bright colours and patterns to create a sense of joy and celebration.
